The Quality Engineer will support new product introductions by developing inspection methods, programming CMMs, and ensuring product compliance to specifications. This role is highly hands-on, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality from prototype through production.

Description

  • Develop and edit CMM programs using PC-DMIS (required) and MCOSMOS for precision machined components
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to establish inspection strategies
  • Design and implement fixturing, tooling, and setups for accurate and repeatable measurements
  • Conduct inspection reviews to ensure compliance with customer drawings and technical requirements
  • Perform MSA and Gage R&R to validate measurement system accuracy
  • Partner with engineering, machining, and quality teams to support NPI and drive process improvements

Profile

A successful Quality Engineer should have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on PC-DMIS CMM programming experience (REQUIRED)
  • Strong expertise in GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies
  • Background in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems
  • Proficiency with statistical tools such as Minitab or SPC
  • Engineering degree preferred; must be a U.S. citizen
