This position supports the production and quality teams in ensuring products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications, engineering requirements, and company procedures. The position will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams and will interface directly with customer quality representatives on a regular basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities?
Interpret customer and engineering specifications and provide guidance to production teams.
Conduct and document First Article Inspections (FAIs), including communication and coordination with customers.
Work with customer source inspectors to present required documentation and products for inspection.
Identify, document, and communicate non-conformances to production teams.
Coordinate and support containment activities for non-conforming products.
Assist Quality Engineering with root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming products.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Conduct process and product audits to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company procedures.
Assist Document Control in maintaining document revisions and releasing new and revised procedures, training forms, and other controlled documents.
Maintain quality records accurately and in accordance with company requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing, quality, inspection, or production of electromechanical products.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action preferred.
Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience working within a Quality Management System based on ISO 9001; experience with AS9100 is a plus.
Ability to interpret and apply customer specifications, drawings, and requirements.
Ability to use basic industrial inspection and testing equipment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to understand and apply measurement concepts, formulas, and basic statistical principles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
Experience working directly with customers, customer quality representatives, or source inspectors preferred.
Self-motivated and able to work independently while also contributing effectively to a cross-functional team.
