Quality Engineer / Quality Associate – Aerospace Manufacturing – Garland, TX

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Quality Engineer / Quality Associate for a growing aerospace and metal finishing manufacturing company in Garland, TX, with occasional support in Arlington, TX. A successful Quality Engineer / Quality Associate should have strong experience with quality systems, inspection processes, corrective actions, specification review, and aerospace manufacturing standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications, and the ability to support production quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay is $30/HR

Available shifts include:
• Monday through Friday
• 1st Shift
• Overtime may be available based on production needs

Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer / Quality Associate:

• Support and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
• Review customer purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements prior to production
• Interpret aerospace, defense, ASTM, AMS, MIL-SPEC, and customer-specific requirements
• Lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) activities for nonconformances, customer complaints, and process issues
• Perform and support first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Support plating and finishing quality testing including salt spray, adhesion, coating thickness, and visual inspections
• Maintain quality documentation including inspection records, calibration records, nonconformance reports, and corrective actions
• Support AS9100 audit readiness and future NADCAP-related activities
• Collaborate with production, operations, and management teams to resolve quality issues efficiently
• Communicate professionally with customers and vendors regarding quality concerns and corrective actions
• Identify quality risks and help implement preventive solutions before issues impact production or customers
• Ensure all work complies with company procedures, customer requirements, and industry standards
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies in a manufacturing environment

Required Qualifications of the Quality Engineer / Quality Associate:

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, aerospace, metal finishing, machining, fabrication, or related industrial environments
• Experience with quality systems, inspection processes, corrective actions, and audit preparation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Familiarity with MIL-SPEC, ASTM, AMS, or aerospace/defense quality requirements
• Experience supporting RCCA activities and nonconformance investigations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with production teams, customers, suppliers, and management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems
• Familiarity with NADCAP requirements
• Experience in plating, anodizing, passivation, chemical conversion coating, or metal finishing
• Experience with salt spray testing, adhesion testing, and coating thickness measurement
• Experience supporting customer or certification audits
• Leadership or supervisory experience within a quality department
