Standard Job Description

You will be the Quality Engineer Principle for the Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement across MFC.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Quality Engineer Principle you will be responsible for leading root cause and corrective action initiatives, driving cross‑functional quality strategies, and mentoring technical talent.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead product‑failure investigations and material‑review board decisions.
• Develop and implement enterprise‑wide quality strategies and systems.
• Mentor junior Quality Engineers and provide technical direction on complex issues.
• Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, including statistical assessments.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to uphold robust quality standards.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in STEM discipline or 15+ years relevant experience
• 3+ years experience performing Lean Six Sigma (LSS) practices and/or Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis
• Ability to identify solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices using tools like Causal Analysis to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action
• Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Management Systems such as International (ISO) and aerospace (AS).
• Ability to lead teams, mentor employees and influence changes within the organization.

Desired Skills

• Active Industry membership (ie: American Society of Quality (ASQ), J-STD, etc.)
• Extensive application of statistical data analysis and applicaiotn in manufacturing environments
• Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Experience with multiple programs or line of business
• Knowledgeable of Risk & Opportunity
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with multiple functions and stakeholders such as Operations (Prod Ops and Global Supply Chain), Engineering, Suppliers and Customers to work strategic/tactical plans, negotiate optimized approaches, and/or implement new solutions.
• Presentation skills in developing messages, training and compelling strategies resulting in diverse teams implementing and executing new solutions.
• Experience with Government customers including DCMA
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $158700.00 - $294700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
