Kemco Aerospace is part of the Crestview Aerospace family which is comprised of two (2) manufacturing sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, Florida, and employs approximately 350 professionals.Principal Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesAssist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system. (AS9100, AS13100, NADCAP)Participate in contract review process to ensure customer requirements can be met and are effectively incorporated in QMSAbility to review and approve Internal KDs that are used for the inspection of parts.Excellent understanding of AS9102 and the ability to fill out or approve FAIRs.Strong ability to interpret customer part definitionUse software (Inspection Xpert) to itemize part definition that is used for the entire inspection processExperience with PPAP and APQPLead chemical processing special processes to ensure conformance to AS9100 and NADCAP requirementsLead corrective action projects to ensure effective corrective/preventive actions using tools such as 5-Why and 8DParticipate in continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen, LEAN, etc.Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with customer requirementsSupport the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and customer requirementsConduct internal audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actionsWork with customer auditors to facilitate audits, close out audit findings using proper corrective and preventative actionsReview and disposition nonconforming material reportsPrepare and submit customer approval documentationCreate and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.Support site needs related to over-inspection, shipment write up, and other Quality dock area functionsProfessional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired CompetenciesBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Material Science or Metallurgy, experience may be substituted for degreeAerospace experience a plusExperience and training in quality systems including AS9100 and NADCAPStrong proficiency in quality management systems, process validation, and customer specificationsExpertise in conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actionsStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principlesProficiency in CAD, QMS and ERP softwareDemonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide junior team members effectivelyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with customersThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
