Job Description Job Description Description: Quality EngineerReporting ToQuality ManagerDepartmentQualityRole ObjectiveThe Quality Engineer serves as the frontline guardian of product integrity across CoreDux's precision manufacturing and reclamation operations. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that ensure conformance to customer specifications, regulatory standards, and internal process controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically minded, and comfortable working across both cleanroom and standard production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Systems & ComplianceStandards Management: Maintain and improve quality management systems in accordance with applicable standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent), ensuring documentation, audits, and corrective actions remain current.Inspection Protocols: Develop and execute incoming, in-process, and final inspection procedures to ensure product conformance at every stage of the production and reclamation cycle.Calibration & Gauging: Manage calibration schedules and ensure all measurement tools and equipment are properly certified and traceable.Nonconformance & Corrective ActionNCR Management: Lead the identification, documentation, and disposition of nonconforming materials and products using formal NCR/CAPA workflows.Root Cause Analysis: Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) to investigate quality escapes and drive sustainable corrective actions.Customer Returns: Coordinate the investigation and resolution of customer quality complaints, ensuring timely and thorough response.Continuous ImprovementProcess Auditing: Conduct regular internal process audits to identify gaps and improvement opportunities across production, cleanroom, and warehouse operations.Metrics & Reporting: Develop and maintain quality KPIs (first-pass yield, scrap rate, defect density) and present findings to leadership on a regular cadence.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams to embed quality at the source.Documentation & TrainingProcedure Ownership: Author and revise inspection procedures, work instructions, control plans, and quality records.Team Training: Support training initiatives to ensure all production and warehouse personnel understand quality expectations and rejection criteria.Requirements: Qualifications• Minimum of 3 years of quality engineering experience in a precision manufacturing, aerospace, or electronics environment. (Required)• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or comparable quality management systems. (Required)• Demonstrated proficiency in nonconformance and CAPA management processes.• Experience performing internal audits; CQE, CQA, or lead auditor certification preferred.• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Science, or a related technical field preferred.• Proficiency with inspection tools including calipers, CMMs, optical comparators, and related metrology equipment.Skills• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Exceptional attention to detail• Clear verbal and written communication skills• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software• Team-oriented with the ability to influence without direct authority• Organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environmentPhysical Requirements• Must be able to traverse the operations and production facility.• Must be able to stand for extended periods during inspection activities.• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.• May require gowning and adherence to cleanroom entry protocols.
