Our esteemed client has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer in a well established manufacturing environment. This is a full-time position with benefits.
 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify quality improvement parameters by statistical methods for manufacturing processes.
  • Develop useful metrics to gauge & encourage increased customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure daily project priorities are complete; Assist in issue resolution via Quality Systems.
  • Investigate claims & perform root cause analysis; Develop corrective action plans.
  • Perform qualify engineering analysis & create response to complaints.
  • Work cross-functionally to formulate correction actions; Ensure implementation is complete.
  • Review/update procedures to ensure inspection level & checkpoint compliance.
  • Partner with Engineers, Design Teams & Project Managers to improve inspection techniques.
  • Provide technical support to cross-functional areas.
  • Establish good working relationships with Estimator, Project Manager, Engineers, etc.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for quality control system procedures.
  • Manage overall quality objectives by the analysis of collected data & approved recommendations.  
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering concentration preferred
  • 7-15 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Plastics industry background highly preferred
  • Medical & Aerospace experience highly desirable
 
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • IQMS highly desirable
  • Lean Manufacturing experience highly desirable
  • Exposure to 5S and Six Sigma preferred

Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, and move about the facility.
  • Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA.
 
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Safety Glasses are required.
 
Work Environment:
  • Work performed in a shop environment.
  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
  • Flexible work hours may be considered with prior management approval.
