    Description

    ABGi USA is hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading manufacturer of industrial valves and flow control solutions serving the oil & gas and energy industries.

    We're seeking aQuality Engineerto join a growing manufacturing team inSanta Fe, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about quality systems, continuous improvement, and driving manufacturing excellence in a highly regulated environment.

    What You'll Do

    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with engineering specifications.

    • Lead root cause investigations for internal and external non-conformances using methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D.

    • Drive Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing variation.

    • Monitor and report quality KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

    • Create and maintain SOPs and quality documentation.

    • Conduct internal quality audits and ensure compliance with established procedures.

    • Partner with suppliers and production teams to resolve quality concerns and verify corrective actions.

    • Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products against engineering drawings and specifications.

    • Manage corrective actions, containment activities, and gauge calibration programs.

    • Train manufacturing personnel on quality best practices, blueprint reading, and measurement techniques.

    What We're Looking For

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field

    • Green Belt certification or Lean/Six Sigma training preferred

    • Experience leading or participating in Lean manufacturing initiatives, Kaizen events, or continuous improvement projects is highly preferred

    • 2–3+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or inspection

    • Experience with quality systems, inspections, and measurement equipment

    • Strong understanding of SPC, root cause analysis, and data-driven problem solving

    • Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and blueprint reading

    • Familiarity with API 6A, API 6D, API Q1, and ISO 9001 standards

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
