Key Duties & Responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer Sr, you will be a vital part of the manufacturing team that build the Hypersonic Weapon. Your responsibilities will include:

Second Shift -4x10D FLEX- 4 10 hr nights Thu-Sun

  • Ensuring product compliance through accurate flow down of Program/Customer requirements and physical configuration audits
  • Ensuring non-conformance's are accurately controlled, documented and dispositioned
  • Helping resolve technical issues and communicating them back to the program and or Customer
  • Helping dive process improvements and cost savings utilizing a continuous improvement mentality

This position will apply also quality principles in the areas of: incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.

Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience driving robust Corrective Actions Root Cause and Corrective Action
  • Demonstrates thorough attention to detail
  • Required to work off shifts, overtime and nonstandard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Green Belt Trained and/or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred)
  • Understands lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment
  • Experience with SAP, P2P, VECAMS, and data analytics to report trends and achieve results
  • Excellent communication skills to engage the team, customers and senior leader
  • Resourceful self-starter possessing a 'learning orientation'
  • Experience working independently with customers and suppliers
  • Missile , Hypersonics, or flight vehicle experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
