JOB TITLE: Quality Engineer
LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA
PAY RATE: $48/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and possess an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.

Summary:

  • Apply quality engineering principles across design, incoming materials, production control, product evaluation, reliability, inventory control, and R&D activities for make and buy products.

  • Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and models/designs.

  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to resolve quality-related issues and ensure standards are met.

  • Lead and support product failure investigations, Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and corrective/preventive action implementation.

  • Ensure corrective actions meet reliability, compliance, and quality requirements.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve internal operations and supplier quality performance.

  • Evaluate supplier and internal quality systems to identify deficiencies and implement improvements.

  • Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, methods, and equipment to improve quality outcomes.

  • Conduct product quality testing and statistical analysis to identify and resolve non-conformance issues.

  • Support supplier selection processes and maintain supplier certification programs.

  • Work within ERP systems (including SAP/Procure-to-Pay environments) to support quality and supply chain activities.

  • Travel to supplier and operational sites as needed to support quality initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and possess an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.

  • Experience with SAP and/or Procure-to-Pay systems.

  • Background in one or more of the following disciplines:

    • Quality Engineering

    • Systems Engineering

    • Materials & Process Engineering

    • Mechanical Engineering

    • Manufacturing Engineering

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to multiple sites as needed.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in Supply Chain Quality Engineering.

  • Experience leading root cause corrective action (RCCA) and defect resolution efforts.

  • Quality MRB Certification preferred.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred.
