Summary:
Apply quality engineering principles across design, incoming materials, production control, product evaluation, reliability, inventory control, and R&D activities for make and buy products.
Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and models/designs.
Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to resolve quality-related issues and ensure standards are met.
Lead and support product failure investigations, Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
Ensure corrective actions meet reliability, compliance, and quality requirements.
Develop and implement strategies to improve internal operations and supplier quality performance.
Evaluate supplier and internal quality systems to identify deficiencies and implement improvements.
Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, methods, and equipment to improve quality outcomes.
Conduct product quality testing and statistical analysis to identify and resolve non-conformance issues.
Support supplier selection processes and maintain supplier certification programs.
Work within ERP systems (including SAP/Procure-to-Pay environments) to support quality and supply chain activities.
Travel to supplier and operational sites as needed to support quality initiatives.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and possess an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.
Experience with SAP and/or Procure-to-Pay systems.
Background in one or more of the following disciplines:
Quality Engineering
Systems Engineering
Materials & Process Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness and ability to travel to multiple sites as needed.
Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Supply Chain Quality Engineering.
Experience leading root cause corrective action (RCCA) and defect resolution efforts.
Quality MRB Certification preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred.
