The Quality Engineer Technician supports product quality, yield performance, and QMS effectiveness within manufacturing operations. This role ensures compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements while applying engineering and statistical methods to improve process stability, yield, and cost of quality across fabrication processes.The position works cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and customers to ensure the consistent delivery of high‑performance, reliable products .Key ResponsibilitiesQMS & ComplianceSupport compliance with ISO 9001 and internal QMS requirementsMaintain quality procedures, work instructions, and recordsSupport internal, customer, and certification auditsExecute CAPA using structured problem‑solving methods (8D, DMAIC)Support document control, change management, and traceabilitySupport supplier quality activities, including incoming quality and SCARsProcess Quality & Manufacturing SupportCollaborate with fabrication, coating, polishing, and engineering teams to support process stability and yieldProvide day‑to‑day production support to resolve quality issues and minimize downtimeSupport review of process changes, deviations, and nonconformancesPerform root cause analysis for scrap, rework, and yield lossSupport NPI, process qualification, and validation effortsData Analytics, SPC & YieldImplement and maintain SPC on critical process parametersAnalyze process capability (Cp/Cpk/Ppk), yield, and defect trendsDevelop reports and dashboards for quality and yield metricsPerform analysis including DOE, Pareto, and trend analysisUtilize MES/SPC tools for early detection of process excursionsRisk, Inspection & NonconformanceParticipate in PFMEA/DFMEA and maintain risk assessmentsSupport development of control plans, inspection strategies, and sampling plansSupport MSA / Gauge R&R , calibration, and inspection validationSupport MRB activities , nonconformance handling, and corrective actionsTrack scrap, rework, and customer escape trends; support FA/RMA activitiesContinuous Improvement & CollaborationSupport Lean improvement initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve yield, reliability, and process capabilityTrain operators and technicians on quality and inspection standardsCollaborate across engineering, operations, and supply chain teamsQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field2-5+ years in semiconductor or advanced manufacturingStrong background in process quality, SPC, DOE, and root cause analysisEffective cross‑functional communication skillsPreferred SkillsKnowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS processesExperience with SPC, DOE, FMEA, CAPA, and control plansProficiency with Minitab, JMP, Python, Tableau , or similar toolsFamiliarity with semiconductor, optical, or precision manufacturingSalary RangeThe salary range for this position is 70,000 – 90,000 USD.
