Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mass Production Parts Quality Analyst to support supplier quality activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives within automotive manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for investigating quality concerns, leading root cause analyses, collaborating with suppliers on corrective actions, and ensuring production parts meet Honda"s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead detailed investigations of quality issues, including part measurements and data analysis, to minimize impact on manufacturing operations and downstream customers.
  • Prepare and submit technical documentation through the Honda Trouble Report (HTR) system to communicate supplier quality concerns and drive corrective actions.
  • Define and manage supplier part change requirements using the Change Point Control System (CPCS), ensuring quality documentation is thoroughly evaluated prior to management review.
  • Conduct complex root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead Supplier Quality Assurance Visits (QAVs) to review quality concerns, verify countermeasure implementation, and ensure long-term issue resolution.
  • Evaluate and disposition non-conforming parts and determine appropriate containment actions.
  • Assess incoming supplier parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Apply PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology and other quality tools to effectively resolve quality issues.
  • Review and approve supplier corrective actions, countermeasures, and change points before production implementation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to newer team members on quality processes, procedures, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, supplier quality, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and industry quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with welding processes or plastic injection molding.
  • CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience.
  • Familiarity with supplier quality management and production part approval processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.06/hr.
