Quality Engineer | Traverse City, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Traverse City that are seeking Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes for quality improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure product quality from concept to launch.
  • Perform product and process audits to verify compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Utilize statistical methods to analyze data and identify trends in product quality.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints related to product quality.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC).
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Bonus Qualifications
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
