Quality Engineer

RockvilleTechnology, LLC. is a family owned, fast-paced machining services andfabrication company focused on creation nonferrous machine parts primarily forthe US Aerospace and Defense Industry. We're looking to bring on a QualityEngineer at our location in Vernon, CT.

The Position:

This position willsupport Rockville’s quality system and customers.The Quality Engineer role is critical toRockville’s business continuity and facilities routine customer audits,supports the maintenance of the quality system and the key licenses andcertifications (NADCAP, ISO, AS9100) required to do business in aerospace anddefense.The Quality Engineer worksdirectly with customers understanding their specific quality requirements andensuring delivery of the expected parts and accompanying documentation andquality data.This role must understandthe critical customer needs and be able to communicate clearly through directcommunication as well as completing any necessary supporting documentation andrequired notifications. 

In this role youwill:

• Assist with performing and monitoring of internal audits
• Generate, perform, and monitor supplier audits
• Assist with customer quality audits and answer corrective action requests as assigned
• Develop and Perform SPC
• Oversee inspections and audits and Inspection Department as assigned by Quality Manager
• Prepare First Article’s andInspection methods sheets as assigned by Quality Manager
• Investigate product quality problems and recommends changes or improvements
• Work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal personnel to establish consistent inspection techniques and resolve issues
• Assist with overseeing the companies Cause and Corrective Action and Preventive Action systems

About You:

• Degree in quality, industrial, mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role
• ASQ certification and ISOInternal Auditor certification preferred
• Demonstrated execution ofPPAP management
• Experience coding and usingQA software tools and processes
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving, and project management skills
• Able to work efficiently in a team environment and maintain high confidentiality
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice, particularly Excel
• Must be a US Citizen. Must comply with EAR regulations and site SSA requirements.
