We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Quality Engineer for a permanent position within our world-class manufacturing team. Our customers span commercial aerospace, aeronautics, space, military, and electronics industries. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of quality in our manufacturing processes for assembling connectors, cable assemblies, inspection, and electrical testing. Your expertise in quality engineering, coupled with your knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, will be crucial in understanding our customer's drawings, specifications, and associated standards applicable in the industry.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the quality engineering requirements to ensure manufacturing processes are in accordance with AS9100 Standard.
  • Ensure that Quality Control inspections for First Articles and lot manufacturing are conducted as required per laid down procedures and statistical sampling.
  • Coordinate with Production to anticipate and prevent potential issues in the manufacturing processes that could inhibit consistent quality of the product.
  • Review technical product documentation including drawings, bills of materials, test protocols and reports, manufacturing instructions,engineeringchange orders (ECO), etc.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to the manufacturing team on quality standards and best practices.
  • Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) to verify the manufacturing processes and ensure the product meets specified requirements.
  • Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) teams and feed inputs from manufacturing floor for an effective analysis.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical) or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in using DISCUS and Net-Inspect for FAI and FAIRs.
  • Proficiency in AS9100 and AS9102 (First Article Inspection and Reporting).
  • Experience in new product qualification and validation testing is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
