Position Summary

The Quality Engineering Analyst Consultant will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of enterprise software applications and business processes. This position is responsible for developing comprehensive testing solutions, supporting automation initiatives, and maintaining high-quality testing standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

The consultant will partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand system requirements, identify potential risks, develop test coverage, and ensure successful implementation of quality assurance practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Engineering Strategy

• Support QA leadership and project teams in executing testing methodologies and quality standards.
• Contribute to test strategy development and automation planning.
• Assess testing requirements and recommend appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ensure business processes and testing procedures remain properly aligned.

Test Design and Development

• Review requirements, user stories, functional designs, and technical specifications.
• Develop detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Create end-to-end test coverage for integrated enterprise applications.
• Maintain testing documentation and ensure traceability between requirements and test results.

Automation Engineering

• Design and maintain automated test solutions using Tricentis Tosca.
• Utilize Tosca Commander and TBox to develop reusable automation components.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze failures.
• Contribute to automation framework enhancements and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve regression testing efficiency.

Quality Assurance Execution

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
• Manage test data and coordinate testing environment requirements.
• Document defects, testing issues, and resolutions.
• Work with development teams to investigate and resolve application defects.
• Validate corrective actions through retesting and regression testing.

Reporting and Collaboration

• Maintain test execution metrics, dashboards, and quality reports.
• Communicate testing status, risks, and potential impacts to stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and project discussions.
• Support knowledge transfer and mentoring related to automation and QA practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in quality assurance or software testing.
• Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing practices.
• Experience developing formal test plans and test documentation.
• Strong understanding of business process analysis and requirements interpretation.
• Ability to work with technical and functional teams.
• Knowledge of enterprise business processes including Finance, HCM, Logistics, and Treasury.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Tricentis Tosca automation platform.
• Proficiency with Tosca Commander and Tosca TBox.
• SAP and S/4HANA testing experience.
• Experience with enterprise application transformation or migration projects.
• Knowledge of regression testing and change impact analysis.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and other testing frameworks.
• Scripting knowledge in Python, JavaScript, or VBScript.
• SQL/database testing experience.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and CI/CD environments.
• Tricentis Tosca certification is highly desirable.
