Position Overview
Project Nova is a multi-year platform transformation program with Evernorth focused on building a new cloud-native Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) platform while re-implementing and migrating existing PBM capabilities and client business in waves.
The Quality Engineering Architect owns the end-to-end test strategy for the program, defining what must be proven, the order of validation, evidence standards, and readiness requirements at each program gate.
This role serves as the neutral owner of the quality bar across the new platform and existing technology estate. The architect will establish the quality strategy while delivery teams execute the test cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the overall enterprise test strategy.
- Establish risk-based testing and quality coverage across multiple delivery teams and platforms.
- Define release gates, quality standards, and evidence requirements.
- Establish readiness criteria for major program milestones and cutover decisions.
- Ensure consistent quality standards across build, integration, and end-to-end testing teams.
- Provide quality signals and executive-level reporting to support release and cutover decisions.
- Coordinate quality strategy across multiple functional workstreams and delivery teams.
- Ensure testing strategy aligns with healthcare and PBM business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Strategy, or related architecture roles.
- Healthcare industry experience is required.
- Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) experience is required.
- Professional Degree required.
- Strong experience developing enterprise-level Test Strategy Definition.
- Experience with AI Quality Assurance.
- Experience with Quality Management / Data Quality Management.
- Strong Risk-Based Testing experience.
- Experience establishing release gates, readiness criteria, and quality evidence standards.
- Experience working across multiple delivery teams, platforms, and complex transformation programs.
- Strong functional/domain knowledge relevant to PBM is highly important for this architect role.
