    Quality Engineering Technician I

    Position Summary/Essential Functions:

    The Quality Engineering Technician will be responsible for learning and supporting QE activities related to dispositioning material discrepancy reports, work instruction updates, procedure/drawing updates, tooling design and organization (physical and database), and other Engineering activities that support Operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Approve parts dispositioned by Engineering on material discrepancy reports. Creates reports identifying MRB trends and opportunities for process improvements.
    • Support QEs with airworthiness form corrections.
    • Identifies and updates drawings / procedures / work instructions to clarify and standardize quality processes.
    • Works with production cells and Quality Engineering to assess needs for safety, 5S, and process improvements related to quality compliance and yield.
    • Provides support to Quality Engineering team to resolve TIB issues and anything impacting daily quality needs.
    • Assists the QE with failure analysis and corrective action investigations by collecting, interpreting, and summarizing data.

    Qualifications:

    • GED or HS diploma
    • 2 years of related experience
    • Blueprint reading and Component Maintenance Manual familiarization.
    • Demonstrated active participation in team meetings, project teams, improvement efforts.
    • Broad process experience including inspection, machining, flow test desired.
    • Use of hand inspection tools.
    • Level 1 Inspector / Repairman preferred
