Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineering Technician to support inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on circuit board inspection, component-level troubleshooting, and quality verification using specialized electrical test equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and electronic inspections on circuit boards, assemblies, and systems
• Use oscilloscopes, voltmeters, analyzers, and scopes to test and evaluate performance
• Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits at the component level
• Inspect components, subassemblies, wiring, and casings to ensure conformance to specifications
• Repair, adjust, or replace defective electrical/electronic components
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Support assembly processes including positioning, alignment, and wiring of electronic parts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning parts and assemblies
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve quality or production issues
• Document inspection results, repairs, and testing activities

Required Qualifications

• Trade school certification or technical training in electronics, electrical systems, or similar

• 1+ year of experience in:

• Electronics inspection

• Component-level troubleshooting and repair

• Ability to work with:

• Oscilloscopes

• Voltmeters

• Electronic test equipment

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work instructions

• Experience with electronic assembly and inspection techniques

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field

• Experience in PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing

• Familiarity with:

• Analog and digital circuits

• Hand tools and precision measurement tools (calipers)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wappingers Falls, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
