Quality Improvement Manager

Horizon House, a non-profit organization, has been widely recognized for its services as a provider of community-based behavioral health, intellectual disabled and homeless services in Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware. Each year, Horizon House provides a continuum of services at over 100 sites to over 4,500 adults with psychiatric or developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol addictions, and/or homelessness. A pioneer in the field of community-based rehabilitation, Horizon House is widely recognized for its innovative approach to the delivery of services in a community setting.

Currently, we are seeking a  Quality Improvement Mgr to work in our Developmental Services Division.

Purpose:

• Responsible for assisting in the development, communication, and compliance monitoring of HHDI Behavioral Health Services policies and procedures.
•  Supervising Health Record/QI staff
• Validating information with administrative staff for outcomes management.
• Qualitative and quantitative health record review for HHDI Services.
• Assisting in the development and staff education covering the privacy of, and access to consumer health information in compliance with federal and state laws and Horizon House’s information privacy practices.
• Coordinate Ombudsman Activities.

Supervision Received:

• Receives direct supervision from the HHDI Director and general supervision from the Director of Quality Improvement, Behavioral Health Services.
  Supervision Exercised:
• Direct supervision for Health Records and Quality Improvement Staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree with two years experience in management and at least 3-4 years of related experience; or any other combination of experience or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
• Proficient in computer and internet applications (MS Office, Excel and forms application(s).
•  Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis and data presentation.
•  Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
•  Familiarity with accreditation and or state licensure review processes.
• Very good communication skills, both oral and written.
•  Ability to interact with all levels of staff and interdisciplinary teams to achieve established goals.
•  Strong written, verbal, organizational and analytical skills.
•  Ability to travel to several locations

Scope:

• Requires sitting for long periods of time.
•  Frequent talking and listening.
• Light lifting and/or carrying, not to exceed 25lbs.
• Required to have drivers license and have access to own vehicle on a daily basis
