Job Responsibilities
Inspect in-process and completed products using predetermined methods and specifications.
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on spacecraft components.
Utilize various measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.
Make decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.
Inspect and test mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies.
Collaborate with manufacturing operations and engineering personnel to improve processes and resolve documentation issues.
Identify, document, and track non-conforming materials, assisting in identifying root causes.
Inspect incoming purchased parts and materials against vendor certifications and engineering requirements.
Maintain detailed inspection records, logs, and reports.
Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance or inspection roles.
Experience using measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Preferences
Strong computer skills.
Ability to read and comprehend detailed control plans, work instructions, and drawings.
Understanding of GD&T.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Experience working in a team environment.
Familiarity with electronics workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies.
