A South Shore manufacturer is hiring a 2nd-shift Quality Inspector to perform incoming inspection, final inspection, electrical testing, and mechanical inspection of components, subassemblies, and finished products.

This opportunity may be a strong match for a Quality Control Inspector, Incoming Inspector, Final Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Quality Technician, Electrical Test Technician, or Manufacturing Test Technician.

Work Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 2:30 PM–11:45 PM
• Friday: 11:00 AM–4:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• 100% onsite in Weymouth, MA

Position Summary

You will set up and conduct standard electrical and mechanical tests using calibrated measuring instruments, test equipment, and fixtures. You will inspect supplier components and internally manufactured products, interpret engineering drawings, document results, and support both incoming inspection and final test operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, first-piece, and final inspections
• Inspect components, subassemblies, assemblies, and finished products
• Conduct electrical and mechanical tests
• Read engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications
• Measure products according to engineering requirements
• Document inspection findings and nonconforming material
• Complete product history cards and inspection logs
• Use an ERP system to process inspected parts
• Maintain accurate inspection records and files
• Support incoming inspection and final test workloads
• Assist with continuous-improvement activities

• Standard test equipment and fixtures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent relevant training and experience
• One to three years of related inspection, quality, testing, or manufacturing experience
• Ability to use mechanical or electrical inspection equipment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and product specifications
• Understanding of Quality Control standards
• Accurate inspection documentation and recordkeeping skills
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Familiarity with ISO 9001
• Soldering knowledge is a plus, but it is not required

Transferable backgrounds may include precision manufacturing, electrical testing, electromechanical assembly testing, supplier receiving inspection, final product inspection, machine shop inspection, or other work involving calibrated measuring tools and engineering drawings.
