Job Summary:

The Inspector 1 is responsible for ensuring that all inspections of the products are performed and accepted to customer requirements and company standards.

Essential Functions:

• Follow quality processes and procedures to perform detailed inspection in receiving, in-process and final inspection to ensure products conform to customer requirements, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
• Complete required documentation
• Perform AS9102 first article inspection and other extensive inspections per specifications ? Document all inspections in accordance with companys procedures and processes
• Develop and review inspection plans
• Ensure quality standards are met for all components and assemblies for final acceptance
• Maintain parts history folders, inspection reports and prints/drawings
• Calibrate and document hand tools and other inspection equipment
• Perform visual inspection
• Perform hardness and electrical conductivity testing
• Carries out day-to-day work following the departments continuous improvement plan

Skills & Abilities:

• Effectively work with mechanical and electronic inspection tools and devices
• Working knowledge of Geometric and Dimensional Tolerances (GD&T)
• Working knowledge of mylars, optical comparator, thickness gage and profilometer
• Knowledge of aerospace specifications, quality codes and standards
• Knowledge of Six Sigma preferred
• Able to read blueprints and schematics
• Must be accurate and detailed with minimum errors
• Able to work within specific time schedules/deadlines
• Basic computer skills
• Perform job with minimum of supervision
• Work within a team environment
• Respond with sensitivity to people of diverse perspectives
• Dependability, excellent attendance, ability to work overtime and other shifts

Schedule & Payrate: $23.00 - $28.00

• 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
• 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
