Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely and report any unsafe conditions during rounds.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards, Pexco requirements, and company quality policies.
  • Conduct routine inspections & rounds in production, fabrication, traffic, and assembly work cells to verify compliance with processes and procedures.
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections to confirm product quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Support material traceability, proper documentation, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Identify and report nonconformities; assist with corrective actions, root cause analysis, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Segregate and control nonconforming products; ensure proper identification, labeling, and movement to MRB hold areas until disposition is made.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, operators, and packers to promote quality awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain proper use and calibration of inspection tools and gauges.
  • Oversee and support the sample room process including labeling, tracking, and storage.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
  • Support PPAP submissions, first article inspections as required.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of die books, ensuring drawings, specifications, and revision levels are accurate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with FAI, PPAP, and corrective action processes is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong presence on the production floor.
  • Basic computer skills.

 

Work Environment

  • Frequent walking throughout the production floor and work areas is required.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, materials, and standard PPE requirements.
