Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Inspect parts and verify dimensions, surface finish, hardness, and balance using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment, including CMMs.
- Perform first-piece inspections, capability studies, and production quality checks to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Record inspection results, report quality issues, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Calibrate and operate balancing and inspection equipment.
- Support training and evaluation of new inspectors.
- Perform additional quality and customer-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating CMM equipment required.
- Knowledge of quality inspection methods, measurement tools, calibration, and statistical process control.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T and coordinate systems.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection planning tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills in a manufacturing environment.
