    Position Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision machined components. This role is responsible for performing first article, in-process, and final inspections to verify compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, customer specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined parts in a manufacturing environment and is proficient with both CMM equipment and traditional inspection tools.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision machined components.
    • Program and/or operate CMM equipment to verify dimensional accuracy.
    • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
    • Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, and optical comparators.
    • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
    • Identify and document nonconforming products and support root cause investigations.
    • Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
    • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures.
    • Maintain calibration awareness and proper care of inspection equipment.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical education is a plus.
    • 3+ years of quality inspection experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
    • Hands-on experience operating CMM equipment (programming experience is a plus).
    • Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
    • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
    • Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components.
    • Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace manufacturing standards is preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
