Quality Inspector

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Summary:

• Location: Camarillo, CA
• Work Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00AM-2:30PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform and verify visual, dimensional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and chemical inspections.
• Review and approve inspection/test data.
• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and procedures.
• Interface with customer/government source inspection personnel.
• Maintain inspection records in accordance with company procedures.
• Generate and assist in the corrective/preventive action process.
• Understand and support the Quality Management System.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements:

• Must communicate (read and write) in English.
• Must use basic measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.).
• Basic four-function mathematics and some SPC data collection.
• Must not be color blind or non-correctably vision impaired.
• Familiarity with AS9102 and creating AS9102 FAIRs.
• High School graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

• American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Inspector (CQI).
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of inspector experience.

Training Requirements:

• Cooper Interconnect Policies and Procedures.
• AS9100B Quality System Standard.
• Measuring tools, blueprints, and G&H Drawings and Specifications.
• Lock-out/Tag-out, general safety, HAZ-MAT, and Foreign Object Awareness.
• Quality System Awareness.

Physical Demands:

• Routine manual dexterity, walking, sitting, standing, typing, bending at the neck, climbing, and lifting up to twenty pounds when required.

Work Environment:

• Extensive sitting, fine hand manipulation, bending at the neck, and frequent traveling through the company.
