TempExperts is seeking a Quality Inspector for a precision manufacturing organization based in Largo, FL. This role performs visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections on precision-machined metal components to ensure products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards. Candidates must have experience in the metal manufacturing industry, preferably working with turning center lathes and milling operations.
**This is a 1st shift position.**
Responsibilities:
Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with company QA policies and customer specifications.
Perform First Article, in-process, incoming, and final inspections on precision-machined components.
Perform mechanical, physical, and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies per inspection plans and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and part prints.
Initiate and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs/Material Rejection Notices) as required.
Record inspection findings, input inspection metrics, and support corrective actions.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
Conduct material kit audits to ensure accuracy and traceability of parts.
Enter inspection data into internal systems and generate reports.
Conduct quality checks and testing on finished products to confirm specifications, tolerances, and labeling requirements are met.
Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures
Requirements/Education:
Must be able to pass background check.
Quality inspection experience within the metal manufacturing industry is required.
Experience with turning center lathes and milling operations strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong math skills including percentages and unit conversions.
Experience inspecting precision-machined components using dimensional inspection tools.
CMM experience preferred.
AS9100 quality system experience preferred.
