Qualifications

  • 3+ years of quality inspection experience within an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
  • Working knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100 quality systems.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
  • Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong computer skills and experience documenting inspection results electronically.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect precision machined components.
  • Perform first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections.
  • Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (Forms 1, 2, and 3).
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
  • Inspect aerospace components using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, indicators, optical comparators, and other metrology equipment.
  • Verify compliance with AS9100 quality requirements and customer specifications.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Review certifications, material documentation, and inspection reports.
  • Assist with nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Support internal audits and customer quality initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality concerns and improve production processes.
