Job Details

Qualifications

3+ years of quality inspection experience within an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
Working knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation.
Strong understanding of AS9100 quality systems.
Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components.
Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
Strong computer skills and experience documenting inspection results electronically.

Responsibilities

Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect precision machined components.
Perform first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections.
Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (Forms 1, 2, and 3).
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
Inspect aerospace components using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, indicators, optical comparators, and other metrology equipment.
Verify compliance with AS9100 quality requirements and customer specifications.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
Review certifications, material documentation, and inspection reports.
Assist with nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Support internal audits and customer quality initiatives.
Partner closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality concerns and improve production processes.
