Quality Inspector II
Exegistics is hiring a Quality Inspector II for a growing cable and cable assembly manufacturer in Dallas, TX. This company serves highly regulated industries including Defense, Medical, Subsea & Marine, Oil & Gas, and Industrial markets where quality and precision are critical.

Location: Dallas, TX
Position: Quality Inspector II
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:45 PM
Overtime: Available, including Saturdays as needed
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
The Quality Inspector II plays a vital role in ensuring materials, components, and finished products meet customer, engineering, regulatory, and company quality standards. This position works closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain compliance, support continuous improvement efforts, and ensure only conforming products move through the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using visual, dimensional, and electrical inspection methods
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot testing and inspection equipment
  • Inspect products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards
  • Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials and products
  • Accurately record inspection results within ERP and quality management systems
  • Support corrective action and nonconformance investigations
  • Verify calibration status and proper condition of inspection equipment
  • Perform final product release inspections, including packaging and documentation reviews
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced quality inspectors
  • Promote quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
Required Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Experience using inspection and test equipment, including:
    • Calipers
    • Gauges
    • Multimeters
    • Microscopes
    • Other precision measuring instruments
  • Strong analytical, inspection, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person for access to ITAR-controlled technical data
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using ERP or Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • IPC Certifications, including:
    • IPC/WHMA-A-620
    • J-STD-001
  • Experience with cable assembly, electronics, or electro-mechanical manufacturing
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) experience
  • Technical school or vocational training
