Job Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying that precision-machined components and assemblies meet all customer, internal, and engineering specifications. This role involves performing inspections at various stages of production from raw materials to final shipment using manual and automated tools to ensure consistent standards and product integrity.
Key Requirements- Perform in-process, and final dimensional inspections of machined parts.
- Read and analyze complex blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards to verify tolerances
- Use precision instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators and depth gauges.
- Prepare and document detailed inspection reports and maintain quality logs.
- Strong proficiency in shop math and the ability to interpret technical manuals
- Basic computer skills for data collection.
Other Requirements- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Strong manual dexterity and close-range visual acuity for inspecting small intricate parts
- Time Management skills, must be able to multitask
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance in manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO 9001
Hours: 7am-3:30pm with occasional overtime
