The OpportunityCustom Manufacturing & Engineering (CME) is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure electronic assemblies, wire harnesses, mechanical assemblies, machined parts, and finished products meet engineering requirements, customer specifications, and CME quality standards.This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong eye for detail who takes pride in ensuring products are built right. What You Will DoPerform visual and microscopic inspections of PCB/circuit card assemblies (CCAs), wire harnesses, box builds, mechanical assemblies, machined parts, and finished productsInspect workmanship to IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, drawings, specifications, and work instructionsPerform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspectionsVerify product requirements using calipers, multimeters, and other inspection/test equipmentRead and interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing instructionsDocument inspection results and create Nonconformance Reports (NCRs)Identify and control nonconforming material through Material Review Board (MRB) processesSupport Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and root-cause investigationsWork with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and suppliers to resolve quality issuesMaintain accurate inspection and quality recordsWhat You Bring1–3 years of quality inspection experience in electronics or manufacturingExperience inspecting PCB/CCAs, wire harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, or similar productsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specificationsStrong visual acuity, attention to detail, and ability to inspect using magnificationFamiliarity with measurement and test equipment such as calipers and multimetersBasic computer skills for inspection records, ERP systems, and technical documentationIPC-A-610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification strongly preferredWhy CME?Support products used in aerospace, defense, industrial, and energy marketsWork directly with manufacturing and engineering on mission-critical hardwareGrow your skills in electronics and electro-mechanical manufacturingEnjoy a 4-day workweek most weeksBuild your career with an established Tampa Bay engineering and manufacturing companyHiring Process NoteAs part of our selection process, candidates who advance will be asked to complete the Predictive Index Cognitive and Behavioral Assessments.
