Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector with a strong background in energy industry fabrication and construction for a skilled inspection opportunity in Tulsa.
This position is responsible for performing inspections throughout fabrication and construction processes, verifying compliance with drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and established quality standards, and maintaining accurate inspection documentation.
Candidates must have an energy industry background and previous inspection experience. Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience involving pipeline construction, meter stations, compressor stations, or skidded unit construction. Candidates with strong ASME vessel shop inspection experience may also be considered.
Relevant industry certifications are highly preferred and may factor into compensation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform inspections throughout fabrication and construction processes
Review applicable drawings and specifications
Verify work meets customer requirements
Inspect fabricated components and assemblies
Monitor workmanship throughout production
Review quality documentation for completeness and accuracy
Maintain accurate inspection records
Identify nonconforming work or materials
Document quality concerns
Communicate inspection findings to appropriate personnel
Assist with corrective actions when quality concerns are identified
Reinspect corrected or reworked components as required
Work closely with Production personnel to maintain quality standards
Coordinate with Engineering regarding technical or specification concerns
Help ensure completed products meet applicable requirements before release
Perform additional quality-control and inspection duties as assigned
Preferred Energy Industry Experience
Strong preference will be given to candidates with inspection or fabrication experience involving:
Pipeline construction
Meter stations
Compressor stations
Skidded unit construction
Energy infrastructure fabrication
Related oil & gas or industrial energy projects
Experience within these environments is particularly valuable because the Inspector must understand the fabrication, construction, documentation, and quality expectations associated with energy-industry projects.
ASME Vessel Experience
Secondary consideration may be given to candidates with strong:
ASME vessel shop experience
Pressure vessel fabrication experience
Vessel inspection experience
Code-controlled fabrication experience
Heavy industrial fabrication inspection experience
Candidates whose primary background is ASME vessel fabrication should have strong transferable inspection, documentation, drawing-reading, and quality-control skills.

Read and interpret fabrication drawings

Compare completed work against applicable documentation
Identify discrepancies
Communicate technical concerns to Production or Engineering
Quality Documentation
Accurate documentation is a major responsibility of this position.
Review inspection records
Complete required quality documentation
Verify records are accurate and complete
Document inspection findings
Record nonconforming conditions
Maintain organized quality records
Support traceability requirements as applicable
Communicate missing or incorrect documentation
Help ensure required records are completed before product release
Nonconformance & Corrective Actions
Identify quality concerns during fabrication
Document nonconforming conditions
Communicate findings promptly
Work with Production and Engineering to understand corrective requirements
Assist with corrective-action activities
Reinspect repaired or reworked products
Verify applicable corrections have been completed
Help prevent unresolved quality issues from advancing through production
Industry Certifications
Relevant industry certifications are highly preferred.
Candidates should clearly identify applicable certifications and inspection credentials on their resume, as experience and certifications will be considered when determining compensation.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift

Comfortable working around welding, fabrication, material-handling, and industrial equipment
Ability to safely wear all required PPE
