A Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Review blueprints and specifications to compare produced goods.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Inspect first articles and in?process parts by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, identifying defects, and returning products for rework when necessary.
- Recommend necessary adjustments and changes to production processes.
- Record inspection results by completing reports, summarizing reworks and waste, and entering data into the quality database.
- Remove faulty items from the production line and report issues to management to prevent shipment of poor-quality products to customers.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector, including tight-tolerance measurement experience (±0.0005”), or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with quality system requirements and GD&T.
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies using precision measuring tools such as:
- OD Micrometers
- Height gages
- Bore gages
- Calipers
- Minimum of 4–5 years of experience.
- Ability to stand throughout the shift and lift up to 50 lbs (required for some part numbers).
- Responsible and trustworthy.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Pay: Up to $25/hour, with potential increase after 90 days
