Quality Inspector (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: Franklin, MA (Onsite Only)
Pay: $31.00 - $37.50/hour
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to support manufacturing operations at a high-performing aerospace and defense facility in Franklin, MA. This role focuses on ensuring product quality and compliance for machined and assembled mechanical components used in DoD electromechanical systems.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced production environment while supporting AS9100 quality standards and defense industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of machined and assembled components
- Verify product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance test criteria
- Document and maintain inspection data, supplier records, and quality reports in ETQ and Deltek systems
- Use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and related inspection equipment
- Support Quality Management System (QMS), AS9100D, and CMMI compliance requirements
- Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and configuration teams
- Apply GD&T principles (ANSI/ASME Y14.5) and perform technical problem-solving
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing
- Experience with DoD electromechanical products preferred
- Strong understanding of GD&T, inspection methods, and quality documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and solve quality-related issues
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- US Citizenship required
- Experience in AS9100 environments required
- CMMI experience required
Highly Desired:
- IPC 610 and/or IPC 620 certification
