Minimum 5 years of aerospace assembly/manufacturing inspection experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience using general measurement tools for inspection requirements.
Position Summary:Quality Inspector
Works under general supervision from assigned leaders.
Performs inspections on landing gear assemblies, sub-components, and supplier components.
Supports quality inspection, documentation review, auditing, and compliance activities.
Supports multiple product lines and adapts to changing work scope and priorities.
Responsibilities: Quality Inspector
Perform visual and dimensional inspections on landing gear assemblies and sub-components.
Perform stock purge and receiving inspection of supplier components.
Conduct daily startup audits of books and gears in the inspection queue.
Review documentation to verify required signoffs and inspections are complete.
Perform inspection tasks according to procedures and document inspection activities.
Document product discrepancies according to established processes and procedures.
Interpret design data including blueprints and BOMs.
Apply GD&T knowledge and use appropriate inspection methods and equipment.
Assist Quality Engineering with development of inspection methods and procedures.
Support multiple product lines and commodities.
Perform product and quality system audits as required.
Maintain required skills, knowledge, and certifications.
Prioritize multiple tasks to meet schedule requirements.
Perform other duties as requested.
Preferred Qualifications: Quality Inspector
Minimum 2 years of landing gear assembly experience.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical data and quality procedures.
Experience with AS9102 FAI creation and completion.
Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Working knowledge of CATIA and SAP.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under stress.
Ability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, with lift assist or buddy system for heavier loads.
