Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Quality Inspector for our manufacturing industry client to start 08/03/2026 at $28.00/hour. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!
Responsibilities
- Interpret and review customer and internal drawings for product inspection.
- Read and analyze blueprints, weld symbols, and inspection reports.
- Conduct visual and tool-based inspections using calipers, micrometers, thread gages, and inspection tools.
- Identify welding defects visually and with inspection equipment.
- Prepare inspection reports and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Support production staff within the Quality Control team.
- Use inspection equipment and ensure adherence to AWS D1.1 standards, including weld symbol reading.
- Manage multiple tasks with accuracy and precision.
- Interact with manufacturing, customer, and supplier quality issues, ensuring compliance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Relevant work experience in quality inspection or welding preferred.
- Some technical training is advantageous.
- Experience with large, complex weldments in a heavy metal fabrication environment is required.
- Standing for extended periods and some bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting may be necessary.
- Welders seeking to move into inspection roles are encouraged to apply.
Skills
- Blueprint reading and interpret weld symbols.
- Knowledge of AWS D1.1 standards and nondestructive testing (NDT).
- Proficiency with inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, thread gages.
- Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to create detailed inspection reports and perform corrective actions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with quality documentation such as PFMEA, PPAP, APQP (preferred).
- Basic computer skills are a plus.
