Description
Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Quality Inspector for a well-established manufacturing company. In this role, you'll be responsible for performing inspections and audits throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented, quality-focused, and experienced in a manufacturing environment.
As a Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for:
Performing dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Conducting Receiving, First Piece, First Article, In-Process, Prototype, and Final Inspections.
Operating inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, scales, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
Verifying product conformance to customer requirements and quality standards.
Identifying nonconforming materials and assisting with root cause investigations.
Supporting calibration activities and quality system requirements.
Assisting with training and mentoring less experienced inspectors as needed.
Promoting and enforcing company quality and safety policies.
What you'll need:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in sheet metal manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking industries preferred.
Knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection techniques preferred.
Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems preferred.
Experience inspecting fabricated sheet metal parts, welded assemblies, and mechanical components preferred.
Perks:
$26.00 - $33.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, sheet metal manufacturing experience, and CMM proficiency.
Weekly pay.
Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm daytime schedule.
