Description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Quality Inspector for a well-established manufacturing company. In this role, you'll be responsible for performing inspections and audits throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented, quality-focused, and experienced in a manufacturing environment.

As a Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for:
  • Performing dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Conducting Receiving, First Piece, First Article, In-Process, Prototype, and Final Inspections.
  • Operating inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, scales, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Verifying product conformance to customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Identifying nonconforming materials and assisting with root cause investigations.
  • Supporting calibration activities and quality system requirements.
  • Assisting with training and mentoring less experienced inspectors as needed.
  • Promoting and enforcing company quality and safety policies.

What you'll need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in sheet metal manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking industries preferred.
  • Hands-on experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) preferred.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection techniques preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems preferred.
  • Experience inspecting fabricated sheet metal parts, welded assemblies, and mechanical components preferred.

Perks:
  • $26.00 - $33.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, sheet metal manufacturing experience, and CMM proficiency.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm daytime schedule.
