Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring product meets or exceeds all applicable quality standards. Conduct inspection of incoming products, in-process assemblies/subassemblies, manufacturing workmanship, and finished good materials.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform inspection of incoming materials for workmanship, conformance to established inspection plans and drawings.
Assist in developing standard work instructions, process procedures and inspection plans.
Understand and interpret GD&T to evaluate product quality compliance and provide reports as required.
Perform inspection utilizing various inspection instruments.
Collaborate with all departments to ensure that information and data transfers effectively to meet customer needs and organizational objectives.
Ensure the compliance of the total Quality and Environmental Management Systems by participating in continuous improvements, process audits and problem solving.
Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of quality and lean manufacturing principles preferred.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and read blueprints.
In-depth understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), IPC 610, and interpretation of Quality standards.

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of inspection experience preferred in a manufacturing or similar industry.
Experience with inspection instructions such as micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and multi-meter.
High School diploma; technical associate’s degree preferred
IPC certifications
ASQ Quality Inspector certification is a plus.
