Quality Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform inspections on printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic assemblies, and finished products in a manufacturing environment. The Quality Inspector will ensure products meet company and customer quality standards by conducting visual inspections, identifying defects, performing audits, and supporting corrective actions before products are shipped to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of circuit boards, electronic assemblies, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), sampling inspections, and 100% inspections as required.
• Verify machine setup and production readiness prior to manufacturing runs.
• Read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Identify defects, determine root causes, and communicate findings to production and manufacturing teams.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Access and update customer quality systems and internal databases using computer applications.
• Perform post-pack audits and in-process inspections to ensure product conformity.
• Approve acceptable products and escalate non-conforming products to Quality Supervisors when necessary.
• Serve as the final quality checkpoint before products are shipped to customers.
• Train and support team members on quality inspection procedures and standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, electronics manufacturing, or PCB assembly preferred.
• Experience inspecting printed circuit boards (PCB/PCBA) and electronic assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents, drawings, and work instructions.
• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic components.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required.
