    Description

    Description

    Overview

We're hiring Quality Inspectors for our aerospace and defense machine shop.

Our parts fly on F-16s, orbit on the International Space Station, and spin in nuclear centrifuges. We run low-volume, short-run work in one of the only true aerospace precision shops in the Knoxville area, and every part gets inspected before it ships.

You'll read engineering drawings with GD&T requirements, build inspection plans, and check CNC-machined and welded parts at receiving, in-process, and final inspection using calibrated hand tools.

    Why Join Us

    • High-impact parts: Your stamp clears hardware for F-16s and the Space Station.
    • Rare shop: One of the only true aerospace precision shops near Knoxville.
    • Constant variety: Low-volume, short-run work — new parts and new prints.

    Compensation

    • $30 - $40 / hr

    Hiring on 1st Shift

    • Inspection plans: Develop plans that verify parts meet drawing requirements.
    • Receiving inspection: Check incoming parts and material against drawings and specs.
    • In-process checks: Inspect parts mid-run to keep dimensions in tolerance.
    • Final inspection: Verify finished parts, sub-assemblies, and equipment before shipment.
    • Equipment testing: Test custom fabricated mechanical equipment against requirements.
    • Documentation: Record and report all inspection and test results.
