Quality Inspector
- Schedule: Mon-Thurs 7am-4:30pm plus rotating Fridays 7am-3:30pm
- Location: Port Orange, FL 32128
- Duration: Temporary 5 months with potential to extend or convert
- Salary: $21-$23.90/hour (based on experience)

We re seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join a fast-paced, forward-thinking manufacturing environment that supports critical simulator and drone applications. You ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the that the component parts, assemblies, and major sub-systems meet internal and customer quality standards.
What You ll Be Doing:
- Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics and working QC instructions
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection/test on parts, assemblies, and major sub-systems
- Maintaining a high level of communication with all departments involved in the manufacturing process
- Ability to use physical dimension test measuring devices, calipers, and micrometers
- Recording inspection and test results in the inspection database
- Document and report on nonconformances
- Working with Excel spreadsheets and using MS Word to create documents such as Quality Inspection Checklists
- Training and mentoring of Quality Control Inspector I.
- Managing calibration of equipment
What You ll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in Quality Control within a manufacturing environment (including experience with in-process and final inspections/test
- Demonstrated ability to use dimensional test measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent personal communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all departments
- Prior experience recording inspection and test results in the inspection database as well as documenting and reporting nonconformances
- Work experience or Certificates of Training in Physical dimensional Calibration, Certification of Quality disciplines, TQM, and general knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 preferred
- Certified Quality Technician by ASQ; Certified Quality Inspector by ASQ preferred
- Working knowledge of JIRA and CostPoint preferred
- Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined in the ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).
