Contract: 6 months (likely to extend) | Inside IR35
Rates: £35 per hour Umbrella / £26.26 PAYE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join our client in Portsmouth, supporting cutting-edge space and aerospace programmes. This Quality Inspector role offers the chance to work within a highly controlled cleanroom environment, ensuring production and testing activities meet world-class quality standards.
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet strict design and compliance standards throughout the production lifecycle. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to promote a "quality-first" culture and prevent non-conformities at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will monitor and uphold cleanroom quality processes, carry out detailed inspection and verification activities on flight hardware and test setups and ensure all work aligns with ECSS standards. You will identify and investigate non-conformities, support root cause analysis, and contribute to process improvements. The Quality Inspector will also perform audits, complete documentation and verification checks, and support key inspection points such as critical moves, testing readiness and flight packing. Maintaining strict adherence to health and safety standards and ensuring effective environmental controls within the cleanroom will also be essential.
