Position Summary
Performs inspection activities on receiving, in-process, and finished components.
Uses inspection methods, measuring equipment, and test equipment to verify product quality.
Supports quality documentation, material control, and compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Interfaces with employees across departments regarding quality-related issues.
Responsibilities
Use proper inspection methods and complex equipment.
Perform complex part setups and inspections.
Perform CMM operation and programming (preferred).
Inspect receiving, in-process, and finished components using measuring and test equipment.
Verify SPC data when applicable for final acceptance of parts.
Interface with employees regarding quality issues.
Inspect products, materials, and inspection records through the MES system.
Generate required documentation for discrepant disks.
Inspect returned goods from customers and define/report discrepancies as required.
Prepare certificates of conformance as required by customers.
Recommend and/or assist with development and implementation of inspection instructions.
Ensure nonconforming material is segregated, documented, and controlled.
Read, interpret, and comply with policies, regulations, safety requirements, company rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
Maintain focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Interface effectively with other departments.
Required Qualifications
Experience using inspection methods and measuring/test equipment.
Ability to perform inspections of receiving, in-process, and finished components.
Ability to verify SPC data when applicable.
Ability to read, interpret, and comply with policies, regulations, procedures, and operating instructions.
Effective communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Ability to interface effectively across departments.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
CMM operation and programming experience.
