Our Client is a Premier precision sheet Metal Fabrication and Welding Shop.  We are seeking to add to our team:
Quality Inspector 
  • Location: Naugatuck, CT (On-site)
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Shift: 1st Shift (Monday – Friday) 6am-2:30pm
  • Overtime: Based on Need (Monday-Friday) 2:30-4:30 / Sat 6-12
  • Wages: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Your Role
We are seeking an analytical Quality Inspector to join the our team. In this role, you will verify the accuracy of custom sheet metal parts, welded frameworks, and machined items. You will ensure all finished products match blueprinted specs perfectly before they ship out under our name.
Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Review: Read complex technical drawings, weld symbols, and design specifications.
  • Dimensional Testing: Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and pin gauges.
  • In-Process Check: Inspect fabricated parts during different stages of manufacturing.
  • Welding Verification: Review weld quality, finishes, and hardware insertions against standards.
  • Error Logging: Document errors by filling out Non-Conformance Reports (Client).

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 2 to 4 years of quality control experience in a metal shop or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Tool Skills: High proficiency with precision manual hand tools (calipers, protractors, micrometers).
  • Blueprint Literacy: Proven ability to read blueprints and grasp geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) basics.
  • Communication: Clear written and spoken English for recording technical test results.
