Okie Staffing is hiring a Quality Inspector to support steel fabrication operations. This role is responsible for verifying that raw materials, in-process components, and finished steel products meet required specifications, tolerances, and customer standards.

Located in Tulsa, OK

Pay 20.00

Shift Mon - Thurs 6am to 2:30pm will require occasional weekends as needed

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Inspect structural steel, plate, and fabricated components throughout production
  • Perform incoming inspections on vendor-supplied materials, machining, and outside processing
  • Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specs
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall workmanship before release
  • Ensure all quality documentation and approvals are completed prior to shipment
  • Review vendor paperwork for accuracy (quantities, tolerances, processes, and delivery timelines)
  • Partner with production, welders, and shipping to keep jobs moving on schedule
  • Document inspection results and report any non-conformance issues

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a steel fabrication inspection, manufacturing, or heavy industrial inspection environment
  • Previous experience reviewing vendor paperwork for accuracy (quantities, tolerances, processes, and delivery timelines)
  • Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
  • Experience using measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers)
  • Strong understanding of tolerances, dimensions, and fit-up
  • Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced shop
  • Experience inspecting plate steel, structural components, or welded assemblies
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes such as cutting, forming, welding, and rolling
  • Industrial shop setting (heat, noise, heavy materials)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet throughout the shift
