QUALITY INSPECTOR SUPERVISOR

Full-Time | 1st Shift

A growing manufacturing company in Itasca, IL is looking for a Quality Inspector Supervisor to lead the inspection team and help ensure products meet customer and internal quality requirements.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong background in manufacturing quality inspection who can lead a team, troubleshoot quality issues, and work closely with production and engineering.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the quality inspection team

• Perform and oversee dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured parts

• Review inspection results and ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T

• Use precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools

• Investigate non-conforming material and work with production and engineering on corrective actions

• Maintain quality records, inspection documentation, and reports

• Help identify recurring quality issues and implement process improvements

• Train and develop inspectors on inspection procedures, equipment, and quality standards

• Work closely with production, engineering, and management to resolve quality issues

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of manufacturing quality inspection experience

• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge

• Experience with precision measuring equipment

• Ability to identify and troubleshoot dimensional and quality issues

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment

• Ability to communicate effectively with production, engineering, and management
