We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in the Latrobe/Youngstown, PA area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, precision measurement, and ensuring that every product meets strict customer and industry standards.
Schedule available: 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) Monday-Friday
What You’ll Do
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of test specimens used in high-stakes industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect test specimens and materials to ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and industry standards
- Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, rulers, and other metrology tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and inspection criteria
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials or deviations
- Approve or reject finished specimens based on established quality requirements
- Record inspection and test data accurately in reports and quality systems
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and testing teams to resolve quality issues
- Maintain accuracy, traceability, and attention to detail in all documentation
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the quality system
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications and Skills:
- US Citizenship is strictly required for national defense and aerospace compliance
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques preferred
- Experience working with blueprints preferred
- Strong math and technical skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to stand, sit, or move around for prolonged periods of time
Preferred / Highly Valued Experience:
- Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, machining, or materials testing environments
- Familiarity with blueprints, engineering drawings, or GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Hands-on experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Understanding of quality control principles, inspection procedures, or ISO/AS9100 environments
- Experience documenting inspection results or working with quality management systems (QMS)
