    Must have CMM and Romer Arm experience!




    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on fabricated/welded steel parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, Faro Arm)
    • Conduct first-off inspections and verify weld quality per AWS D1.1/CSA W47.1 standards
    • Identify non-conformances, support root cause analysis, and track corrective actions
    • Complete PPAP, ISIR, and dimensional layout reports
    • Maintain quality documentation per ISO 9001/IATF 16949/ISO 14001
    • Manage calibration records for inspection equipment
    • Support 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives

    Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Post-secondary education in Quality, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience in steel fabrication
    • 2–5 years' experience in a fabrication or welding environment, with a focus on quality inspection or assurance
    • Strong understanding of steel grades, welding processes, and fabrication methods
    • Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T, and weld symbol interpretation
    • Experience operating and programming CMM or Faro Arm equipment (training provided if needed)
    • Knowledge of PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, and MSA is an asset
    • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality systems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with exposure to ERP or quality management systems an asset
