Positions Summary:
We are looking for an experienced quality person to join our team. In this position, you will inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products for compliance with drawings, specifications, and purchase orders. You will use precision instruments, CMM programs, and Keyence vision systems to verify dimensions, record data, and identify nonconforming items.

What You’ll Do
· Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications
· Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, and work for conformance to specifications
· Notify supervisors and other personnel about production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems
· Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions
· Record inspection or test data for 1st piece inspection, FAR, or final inspection
· Mark items on hold tag with details when a nonconformance is found
· Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as height gauge, calipers, gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, or other measuring instruments specific to the product
· Analyze test data and make decisions based on test results
· Check arriving materials to ensure that they match purchase orders and complete receiving & inspection reports
· Be able to disposition products on hold for use as is, rework, or scrap
· Stack and arrange products for further processing, shipping, or packaging and transport products to other workstations as necessary
· Classify and sort products when nonconformance is found and complete sort reports
· Calibrate instruments such as gage pre-setters with little assistance
· Possess working knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards
· Prepare reports with assistance for 1st piece submissions for the customer, specifically 1st Articles and PPAP reports
· Possess basic knowledge and ability to use the software and controls of the CMM to operate the CMM, set up coordinate systems and run programs already created to inspect parts
· Conduct floor patrols to inspect products per check sheet to ensure process producing conforming products
· Complete paperwork after inspection is completed to indicate product needs to go to the outsourcing or customer
· Possess knowledge to use Keyence Vision Measurement systems
· Possess basic knowledge of blueprint reading with GD&T callouts
· Possess computer skills to review prints, update machine part status spreadsheet, and send out end-of-shift e-mails.
